Emma Steele Occupational Therapy Services is a Newcastle based private OT service providing assessment and intervention.  

We have expertise in working with people with severe injuries and a range of disabilities and providing direct Occupational Therapy services to our clients. Our services are provided within the client’s home, community and/or workplace.

At Emma Steele Occupational Therapy Services, we understand that injury and disability affects people differently. We understand that each person’s situation is unique and that they need to be treated with dignity and respect.  

 

We work together with the client; their families; support personnel and treating health professionals to develop meaningful goals and assist clients to achieve their goals.

After graduating as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in 1994, Emma Steele has worked as an OT and Case Manager for a variety of services including:

 

  • Public Hospital and Community Health Services

  • Royal Blind Society of NSW

  • CRS Australia

  • Vision Australia and

  • Private OT & Rehab Services

 

Emma’s areas of speciality are working with people who are blind, have low vision or are deaf blind; and those with acquired and traumatic brain injuries. Emma also has extensive experience working with adults with spinal cord injuries, burns, orthopaedic injuries, amputations, early onset dementia and other neurological conditions such as MS, MND and Parkinson's Disease. 

Emma’s passion is being able to work together with clients to develop and achieve meaningful goals that enable them to lead happy and successful lives, despite their injuries or disabilities.

Emma is a member of Occupational Therapy Australia and has attained full registration status through the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia and AHPRA, enabling her to provide OT services nationally. Emma is also a registered provider with the NDIS.

Emma has provided services to clients through a number of sectors, including government, charitable and private organisations.
